Foundation - Not all treated lumber is the same. We use #2 Ground Contact Use as opposed to above ground use. Ground Contact can literally be used on the ground where as above ground use cannot be used within 18 of the ground or the manufacturer warranty will be voided. Locally Owned and Operated - Swett Portable Buildings are built locally in St. Tammany Parish since 1988 not out of state. This provides for greater personal service. Portable - Our buildings are built to be moved as opposed to a regular storage building a portable building gives you the option to have your building moved across the yard or across town. More Storage - Unlike some other manufacturers our buildings are taller giving more cubic feet of storage space for the same square footage. Hardware - Our buildings are built to last -- no shortcuts! As an example we use hot-dipped galvanized hinges and hasp on our barn-style doors not zinc plated or painted hardware which will start to rust in a short period of time. All of the fasteners on the exterior of the buildings are either hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel. Exterior - There are no shortcuts here either. We use LP Smartside with Smart Finish. Our roofs are built to withstand time as well. At Swett Portable Buildings you have the choice of 26 gauge (not 29 gauge) Galvalume Metal or 35yr Architectural shingles. All buildings are trimmed with LP Smartside Cedar grain trim to match the siding.
