At North Shore Baptist Church a multicultural Christian community center serving the greater Chicago IL area we don't fit the mold for the term Baptist Church. Offering simple answers to difficult questions or telling other people what we think they should believe is not how we interact with people who attend our services and events. Our focus instead lies in sharing the good news of God's love and of the foundation of strength and guidance available through faith-based action. For generations we have supported and watched local people working through difficult problems in inventive and progressive ways. As a result of these types of people and in the interest of assisting them we provide: A multicultural Christian community Civic engagement programs Opportunities to serve God around the world Invitations to others to join us on a journey of faithr To help us serve a larger number of people within our community we offer worship in four languages: English Spanish Korean and Burmese. At all of our services and events we cherish and support the diversity of the people who participate. Several ways we regularly give back to our community is through after-school tutoring programs assistance for the homeless and advocacy for affordable housing. We also extend many of our service efforts internationally such as overseas home-building efforts.When something crucial in life is missing or we need healing and new direction God calls each one of us on a journey toward faith.
