In 1964 working from their kitchen table Bills parents started an accounting firm with a few pencils columnar pads calculators and a handful of clients. There were no computers to help with the posting of the records. Debits and credits were posted by hand on paper journals tax returns were done with typewriters and carbon paper and filing cabinets were physical rather than virtual. Time marches forward and tools used to do the job change dramatically. Personal service integrity hard work dedication to the client and the job these things never change. Decades later the business that started on the kitchen table still exists. The table melded into a home office and in 1977 the home office melded into a commercial office on SE Federal Highway where it still exists today. Whether in the original form of Ingram and Ingram Accountants or the current day form of William T Ingram Jr PA. there is one thing that has not changed the Ingram familys dedication to the client!
