We are very dissatisfied with the painting. We paid Jerome Ruelas $5500 to paint the interior walls, closet shelves, and a few drop ceilings. The price did not include baseboard, trim, bedroom, living/dining room or kitchen ceilings. The transition in color was from a very dark brown original paint to a light gray. THERE IS NOW PAINT SHOWING THROUGH ON EVERY WALL. Jerome did not use a primer and only applied two coats of paint. When we hired him, he told us that he only uses high quality Sherwin Williams paint. The paint that he in fact used, was the cheap promar 200 and 400 paint. Not only is paint showing through on every wall, but there are paint drips on the tile, on the fixtures (weren't removed), paint all over the baseboards and trim, paint marks on the edges of the ceilings that were not supposed to be painted. Blue tape was left hanging, there are a few scrapes that chipped off paint, brush marks can be seen throughout, and the cabinets adjacent to walls have paint on their sides. Holes were not patched, and many new holes were made when they remounted the closet shelving, shelving which was mounted incorrectly and not into studs, so when we put a box on them they came out of the wall. He charged us several hundred dollars for caulking, which was inconsistently applied and sloppy. It now needs to be scrapped off of the sides of the sink and reapplied to fill in the holes along the corners. The job was completed in August 2021, and I have been trying to work with Jerome since to fix the paint job. I have not posted any reviews until today in the hope that Jerome would stand by his work and return to correct the poor paint job that he and his subcontractors performed. I have offered to have him come by and apply a third coat of paint, or refund part of the money so that I can hire another company to correct and then fix the paint job. He has declined both and has not proposed any other solutions. He has stopped responding to me. I have over 800 pictures of problems with the paint job.
