Alfredo Quinonez MD is an internist with deep roots in the historic Gaslamp District of San Diego California. He focuses his medical expertise on providing comprehensive care tailored to meet the individual needs of his patients. Serving in the same location for more than 20 years Dr. Quinonez is a gifted primary care physician who welcomes walk-ins as well as scheduled patients to Gaslamp Medical Center.
With an office centrally located in the Gaslamp District and within easy walking distance of pharmacies hotels and the convention center Dr. Quinonez directs a thriving practice that's open to tourists business travelers and San Diego residents. He enjoys being the only independent practitioner in the area because it gives him the opportunity to offer his patients the personalized and undivided attention that's hard to find at big clinics.
Gaslamp Medical Center is a bilingual (Spanish English) practice. For convenience they offer blood draws and other laboratory services onsite. Dr. Quinonez accepts most medical insurances including Medicare and has referral privileges at Scripps Hospital and UC San Diego Medical Center.
Dr. Quinonez has been in practice for 30 years and completed his residency program in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac Michigan. He has also participated in many research studies regarding work-related injuries and emergency room care.
Dr. Quinonez notes his goal is to listen and respond to his patients' needs while helping them feel at home under his care.
